me&myBoys

Life with boys. Married to one, raising one, and one that is brand new. Gotta love it.

I am 30 years old, married with children. If the 20's are for finding yourself, I think it's happened just in time. Up til now I've kind of felt like a poser. But, these boys . . . Ry, G, & O . . . they've helped me become who I'm supposed to be. Being part of their lives, helping them know they are precious and loved is what I am supposed to do. Everything else is extra to that primary goal.

waterpark

A couple weeks ago, Ry and I packed up the fam and headed to Mpls/st.Paul, our old stomping grounds, now referred to as "the city" since we've become small town folks once again. We wanted to do some serious furniture shopping and visit my sister Sabrina, and her husband, Boyd, and also Toodles (savanna). The whole weekend we taunted Graham about the waterpark we would be visiting. Sabrina, the coupon collecting maven, had a free night at the Marriott on Washington Ave. Anytime he whined, "Graham you need to be happy, pretty soon we'll go to the waterpark." "No, Graham, we can't go to the park right now, but there will be lots and lots of slides at the waterpark." You get the idea.

Of course on the ride to the hotel, we put it in high gear. We were practically singing songs about the fun to be had at the glorious waterpark. But of course, in full Chevy Chase/Vacation reminiscant style, when we walk by the tinted windows pearing into the waterpark, even though it was hard to see in, we were a bit suspicious. There is noone playing at the waterpark, we aren't seeing alot of running water on the slides . . . and by the time we get to the front desk, we are not completely surprised when we are told that the waterpark is closed.

So, we punt. And Graham has no idea that the "waterpark" in an entirely different Marriott, was a sorry excuse for entertainment. He loved every minute, and Hey! noone had to wait in line.

I have so loved looking at all your pictures. Houses just make me giddy.

I laughed so much at your teeny-tiny post. You have such a way with words. Little guy is 8 weeks . . . and I still look like I'm due any day.

Rejoicing with you over the garaged deerhead. We move alot and David's "dead things" collection is always an issue . . . but I generally win. :) That's why his office at TM is basically a shrine of stuffed fur and gills.

How sad about the waterpark! We will have to try again. It was great having you guys stay with us - AND bc of the whole mess - I think I ended up with another free night! Yesssss!
