adrenaline rush

Every night Graham looks forward to Ryan coming home from work, because he knows it is play time. They run, wrestle, jump, growl and squeal (well, Graham squeals, if anyone needed the clarification) It is everyone's favorite time of the day. I think Graham even knows when it's coming, because if Ryan is late, he's looking out the window making truck noises in question mark tones. As if to ask me, when is Dad driving up in the truck.

Last night was hilarious, though. Ryan made up a new game where he would place a pillow at the top of the stairs, then place Graham on top of the pillows and help him "ride" the pillow down to the bottom. Graham would squeal and laugh all the way to the bottom of the steps, then do his "more" sign, asking to go again.

The funniest part of the whole situation was when they'd get back to the top of the staircase. Graham would look down and start to chicken out. He'd start saying no, and "hurts" all nervous and tentative about the scary height he was embarking from. Ryan would coax him to go again, and he'd squeal and laugh all the way down, and do the "more" sign immediately upon reaching the bottom, but once upstairs, he'd get nervous all over again! It was so hilarious to see the adrenaline junky nearly chicken out after begging time after time to do it once more.
