me&myBoys

Life with boys. Married to one, raising one, and one that is brand new. Gotta love it.

I am 30 years old, married with children. If the 20's are for finding yourself, I think it's happened just in time. Up til now I've kind of felt like a poser. But, these boys . . . Ry, G, & O . . . they've helped me become who I'm supposed to be. Being part of their lives, helping them know they are precious and loved is what I am supposed to do. Everything else is extra to that primary goal.

you've read this before

I know I sound like a broken record, but this boy knows how to blow out a diaper like I've never seen. I had been planning on sharing how much I love baby kisses. How my heart swells when I see Owen flap his arms in sheer joy to see me, then grab my face with those chubby hands before lunging in for a kiss. A kiss that may appear to an outsider more like a latch or bite or gnawing onto my chin. But those of us in the know are aware that it is sweet affection displayed with lots of saliva.

But honestly, the way he can spray #2 is a talent in it's own. This morning I had put him in his exersaucer while I changed clothes, when I returned I noticed a strange yellow stain on the bottom of his socks. Yes, you heard me right. Not only had was there exrement up his back inching closely to his shoulderblades, but he had managed to move his bowels so far south that he was wading in it.

Oh the joys of motherhood! The talents they possess are truly amazing. I guess it's a good thing he has the kissing thing down...that way mom gets some reward for the mess he made!

Although it was a disaster to clean up, I couldn't help but think how much better they must feel! No one told of these stories when we anxiously awaited the pitter patter of little feet! :)

Cooper now has a habit of announcing to the whole world that he poopied!!!! I remember those days of the endless baths because they can't control themselves in the least bit!!!
